Long Island City is worth saving:

QueensStomp ain’t just tours

Preservation of Queens history and architecture, restoration of viable buildings, precise accounting of neighborhood building/storefront/apartment vacancies: as a community we need to take and have more responsibility for the evolution of our Long Island City neighborhood.

Our area is not a living gameboard for the 1%, our beloved structures are not a real estate development experiment and our public land is not for sale: our neighborhood needs to grow to accommodate and suit its current residents, not to follow the whims of investors who have no personal investment in the place they barely know.

This community belongs to the residents, not the investors. It is worth saving: this is our Queens.
